Help Galway Simon Community help more people like Liam

Galway Simon Community is a homelessness and housing service for Galway, Mayo and Roscommon. So far this year, Galway Simon Community have supported over a thousand individuals and families at risk of, or experiencing homelessness here in the West. As the economic fallout of the Covid-19 crisis takes hold, they are bracing themselves for an even bigger need for their Homelessness Prevention & Housing Services over coming months. Their fundraising activities have and will continue to be massively impacted by the current situation and their ability to meet growing demand is now in serious jeopardy. They urgently need our support to make sure that they to be there for those who need their help in the challenging times ahead.

Please, if you can help, give what you can to support those facing homelessness. Watch their recently released video below which is Liam’s* account of his experience as a client of Galway Simon Community.

Galway Simon Community recently shared Liam’s story saying -

When Liam came to Galway Simon, he was homeless and he'd had a pretty rough time of it. He needed someone to work with him, someone who believed in him. Thankfully we were able to give Liam the support he needed, and eventually, we were able to give him a home of his own.

But there are so many more people in need of this kind of help. People who just need someone to believe in them. If you can, please consider giving a gift to Galway Simon Community this Christmas, so that they can be there for others like Liam who need support.”
