Take a journey with us...

We believe in the transformative power of theatre and telling stories.

Fregoli delivered a show that was by turns touching, funny, poignant, joyful, heartfelt and true.

The Great Green Gigantic Idea

Fregoli presents our newest street theatre show, The Great Green Gigantic Idea - created from children’s ideas around climate change, positive action and protecting our planet.

Liath wants to concrete the world, Giorra follows orders, and Eanin cares for the flowers and the birds. Can Eanin remind them of what makes a home before it is too late?

The Great Green Gigantic Idea debuted at the inaugural Galway Climate Inspirations Festival in September 2024. In 2025, we brought the show on the road, performing in 8 primary schools in association with Galway Climate Inspirations Festival 2025 and Shorelines Art Festival 2025.

The Great Green Giant Idea is a playful interactive street show using English and Irish language, movement, and song (with a fair dollop of daftness). Devised for 7 to 11 year olds but suitable for all ages.

Roscommon Arts Centre Residency

Our residency for 2020/2021 in the Roscommon Arts Centre was based around the theme of Finding Home, a vital topic in our current climate. Due to the pandemic, our plans changed and adapted - we experimented with online/digital theatre to share new work and connect with our audiences.

2020: We presented a virtual work-in-progress of our new play, Cross Street, and produced numerous video digital projects including I Want You to Know Me, Inside You Stay and community project Home for Christmas.

2021: We produced two original audio works - Castle Island Tales and Skies. We also developed a new street performance work - Angels. Angels was performed in Boyle, Co. Roscommon on the 5th of August, as part of Boyle Arts Festival 2021.

In November 2021, Cross Street, returned as a fully produced stage play and debut at Roscommon Arts Centre. Previewed: Wed 24th Nov 8pm. Performances: Thurs 25th β€“ Sat 27th Nov 8pm.

During our residency in the Arts Centre, we have also been able to grow through a series of professional development workshops and talks with well respected theatre practitioners including Raymond Keane (Barabbas Theatre Company) Annie Ryan (Corn Exchange), Debbie Wright (Turas Theatre Collective) and Roberta Carreri (Odin Teatret).

Residency supported by Roscommon Arts Centre, Arts Council Ireland and Creative Ireland

β€œwe produce plays that appeal to a large cross-section of the public, which deal with issues of a changing society and its attitudes and therefore welcome any contact or input from groups of different cultures or backgrounds.”
